First thing to check is to make sure the door is closing properly, so open it and then firmly close it. Next make sure it's getting power, press the buttons on the display, if they do not light up, then make sure the washer is plugged in correctly, if it is then try resetting the breaker. If your home has a fuse box, check to see if the fuse is bad.
